Tulane Class of 2028 - President's Convocation for New Students At the President’s Convocation for New Students, President Fitts welcomed the class of 2028, reminding them to seize every opportunity, embrace every era, and to not shy away from something new.

Tulane University has launched a new nursing program aimed at increasing the state’s healthcare workforce at a time when the need for healthcare heroes is critical. And it's all happening in downtown New Orleans.

We celebrated the one-of-a-kind Class of 2024 with a one-of-a-kind unified commencement ceremony, featuring keynote speaker Jon Meacham, honorary degree recipients Leona Tate and Victor Dzau, student speaker Tamunoboma Dominion Fenny, and a heartfelt speech by President Mike Fitts applauding the resilience of our graduates. Congratulations to these incredible Tulane Alumni!

A new chapter is unfolding in downtown New Orleans. Led by a scion of one of New Orleans’ leading restaurant families, Chapter IV is just the beginning of President Fitts' vision for the future — a vibrant downtown campus that holds incredible potential for community-building, business development, education, healthcare, and innovation.

In Tulane's Algorithmic and Computer Music course, students bridge disciplines by melding music theory with cutting-edge technology, creating robots capable of playing intricate musical compositions. This interdisciplinary approach fosters creativity, innovation, and a deeper understanding of the intersection between music and technology.

The New Orleans Book Festival brings the world’s leading authors to Tulane University for a multi-day celebration of their works. The Festival features both fiction and non-fiction and convenes readings, panel discussions, symposia and keynote speeches. It provides an opportunity for outlets, authors and readers to interact with each other in one of the most vibrant and culturally diverse cities in the world.
