Even with a pediatric wheelchair, learning how to get around on wheels can be challenging for a child, especially one with cerebral palsy, spina bifida or a limb deficiency. That’s when Tulane engineering students came in to help.

Once again, Tulane University can proudly say its newest class of incoming students is making history. The Class of 2027 includes students from 49 states and territories, the most in the last three years. Louisiana landed as the most represented state, with more than 230 commitments.

Five Stamps Scholarships, which celebrate both academic achievement and leadership, are awarded to incoming first-year Tulane students every year.

Longtime Tulane donor and board chair Carol Lavin Bernick has established a multimillion dollar fund for Tulane’s expanding downtown campus. The Carol Lavin Bernick Downtown Investment Fund includes $5 million for campus enhancements. Bernick also donated $3 million to continue the Carol Lavin Bernick Faculty Investment Fund.

On or off the field, Kenny Welcome remains a proud Tulanian. The native New Orleanian still keeps up with his classmates and teammates and cherishes his Tulane connections as an alumnus and an entrepreneur.
